CAPNCM Air Conditioner & Fan Availability

At our agency, from time to time, we receive funding that we can use to help qualified households with the purchase of 110 air conditioner units, infrared heaters, or box fans. There are strict requirements and rules we must follow in order to continue receiving these funds. The number of units we can purchase is limited by the amount of funding we receive. 

Via a program offered and funded by KCP&L, we have free box fans for KCP&L customers. Just bring in a copy of your KCP&L bill to receive one. You must be a KCP&L electric company customer to qualify for one of these fans!

Our service center reserves air conditioners and box fans for the elderly. We still have several 110 AC units and box fans for households with residents AGE 65 OR OLDER and who are income qualified. These are the ONLY remaining air conditioners we have at this time.

The LIHEAP program is able to provide some ACs for people on disability who can provide a doctor's note. These go VERY quickly and are first come, first serve. The LIHEAP funded AC's have all been issued for 2016.
