Electric customers residing within the nine county core service area of Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri may be able to see a slight reprieve from higher utility bills as things warm up across Missouri in the coming months. The Agency’s Summer ECIP (which stands for Energy Crisis Intervention Program), is slated to begin Monday, June 1st, 2017. Funding is limited, and can only be used by clients in the event of an electric shut off emergency.
If you were approved for winter energy assistance between October 1st, 2016 and March 31st, 2017, your household is pre-eligible for these summer funds. If you did not apply and/or receive help with utilities, or you have moved, since the recent winter EA season, CAPNCM will require a new, completed application with supporting documentation before help can be made available. If you do not remember if the agency assisted you with a bill, you are welcome to call them at 855-290-8544. Summer ECIP applications will not be accepted until June 1st, 2017. Applications will also be made available to the public at that time via mail, e-mail, fax, or online at CAPNCM.org. Clients do not need to schedule appointments or visit the Trenton office to get help with utilities, just call CAPNCM toll-free at 855-290-8544. Each year, during select summer and winter months, the EA and ECIP programs help countless Missourians by supplementing utility payments if they happen to fall behind. There are strict qualifications and regulations surrounding the program, and each household must follow certain guidelines and meet requirements before they can be provided with assistance. Those with questions are invited to contact CAPNCM by calling the Agency toll-free at 855-290-8544. Comments are closed.
